Our Acolyte Program at Saint John’s is a great opportunity for young people to serve at the altar, leading in the beauty and order of our worship. Open to all who feel called to participate, we offer training, mentorship, and opportunities to serve the liturgy.
Our ministry focuses on:
-
: Assisting clergy during worship by carrying crosses, lighting candles, and serving at the altar
-
: Deepening understanding of the liturgy and fostering reverence for sacred traditions
-
: Building confidence, responsibility, and teamwork through leadership in worship
-
: Forming friendships and a sense of belonging through shared service and regular gatherings
The Acolyte Program welcomes new members of all ages and experience levels, offering guidance and support as they learn to serve with dignity and devotion. Through this ministry, acolytes grow in faith and leadership while helping to create a reverent and welcoming worship experience for all.
